For weeks, the Iranian government has been restricting the internet in an effort to stop nationwide protests.
But the connectivity disruptions and ban on social media platforms are affecting many Iranians who depended on social media advertising.
It may be too early to estimate the economic impact of protests on Iran’s economy, but early signs show serious disruption in the retail ecommerce sector.
